We work out of a converted textile warehouse off Gympie Street, four blocks up from Woodstock station. The wooden floor was already here in 1952 and we kept it — sanded once, then left alone — because a room with some life in the floor is easier to treat than a dead one. Frames are cut and joined by Sipho Mabaso, who has been building furniture in this street for nineteen years, and the fabric goes on by hand at the long bench under the north windows. Nothing arrives here already made up. If a panel does not fit your wall we cut a new one rather than send you a shim.
Unit 4, Gympie Street, Woodstock, Cape Town. Give us the room dimensions, the ceiling height and what the room is for, and we will come back with a panel count and a price.
