Every book in this room belonged to somebody else first — it came out of a farm loft or a deceased estate with the Karoo dust still sitting down in the gutter — and it will belong to somebody else after you. We keep it dry and in order in between, and we try not to get sentimental about it, which is a thing you learn slowly in this trade.
The room is open Tuesday to Saturday, 09h00 to 17h00, at 22 Long Street in Montagu. We buy whole libraries, and we will drive out to fetch them.
