So we stopped hiring gear out and started keeping it in. Everything on this page is on the floor in Isando, not on a container somewhere between Ningbo and Durban, and when it is not we say so on the phone instead of taking the money and hoping. We sell to school halls, church stages, corporate AV crews, the two theatres in this province still running a proper season, and a good number of people building a rig in a garage on a Saturday. Bring the fixture in if you are not certain what fits it. Bring the frame sizes if you want gel cut. Nobody at this counter will talk down to you for asking.
Hook clamp: 200 kg working load. The bolt is M10 and the wing nut is not a suggestion. Safety bond, 5 mm x 600 mm: rated to a 25 kg drop. It is there for the drop, not the hang. Safety bond, 6 mm x 1000 mm: rated to 50 kg. Anything heavier than a 1 kW fresnel gets this one. 1 kW tungsten fresnel: 6.8 kg on the bar, before the barn doors go on. 750 W zoom profile: 9.4 kg, and it wants both hands on the way up the ladder. 300 mm box truss: 18.5 kg a metre, and roughly 900 kg spread evenly over a 6 m span. Every clamp and every bond leaves here with its certificate in the bag. Put it in the venue file the same afternoon, because the day somebody asks to see it is the day you cannot find it.
