Everything on this page is sewn in a small run-sewing room in Maitland, about twenty minutes from where the cloth is cut. We work in three fabrics and no more: olive ripstop for anything that meets a wall, brushed cotton for tops, and fine-wale cord for winter. Every pattern is cut a size generous, because a child who fits a 6 in March is usually in a 7 by September and nobody wants to buy the same dress twice. The seat, the knee and the shoulder are double-stitched, and the hems are left wide enough to let down twice. If a seam goes inside the first year, post it back and we re-stitch it.
