Cotton, flax and Turkish towelling, washed once before it is folded, posted from Woodstock.

Thread count is only how many threads are woven into a square inch, and past about 400 the mill is usually counting each ply twice — a 200-thread percale sleeps cooler and outlasts a 1000-thread anything. Our fitted sheets are cut 40 cm deep because a South African queen base with a pillowtop on it is taller than the imported sizing allows for, and a sheet that pings off a corner at two in the morning is not a sheet. Everything here is washed once before it is folded and packed, so it goes onto the bed soft and it has already done its shrinking.
Send us the depth of your mattress and the make of your duvet and we will tell you which size actually fits. Someone in the Woodstock shop answers, usually inside the hour.
