The counter is run by Hennie Ferreira, who has been building layouts since the old Bedfordview club nights and will tell you straight when a kit is not worth what it costs. We stock HO and N gauge properly, with a smaller run of O gauge locomotives and enough flexitrack, points, code 100 rail and ballast to finish a room rather than a corner of one. Every kit is opened and checked against the sprue list before it goes out the door, because nothing ruins a Saturday like finding at eleven at night that the coupler bag was never in the box. If there is a half-built layout standing in your garage, bring it in — we buy them, finish them and sell them on, and we pay properly for good baseboards.
