Sandbar started on a bakkie tailgate at Muizenberg, selling rash vests to people who had underestimated the water. We still pick everything the same way — if we would not wear it for a full day in the sun, it does not go on the rail. Our swim is cut from recycled fabric and our towels are woven in the Western Cape. Sizing runs true; if it does not fit, send it back and we will swap it.
