The repair bench

The bench at the back of the shop was here before the shelves were. Most weeks it holds more denim than the rails do: knees blown out on a bicycle, seats worn thin, hems taken up for somebody who is 1.65m and tired of folding them. We chain-stitch a hem so the leg still ropes the way it should, and we patch from the inside with the same indigo the jean was cut from. Nothing that leaves here is meant to be replaced. A pair of 14oz will take three or four repairs over a decade and look better for every one of them. Anything you bought from us is free for the first year; bring in a pair from somewhere else and we will still have a look at it. Tuesday to Saturday, no appointment.
