Skep is Nadia Fourie and two people who get here at five in the morning. Everything is made in one Italian batch freezer standing behind the glass in Obs, about sixty litres on a good day, which is why the list is short and why it moves when the fruit moves. We churn on Tuesday and Friday and the tubs go into the cold room the same afternoon. Nothing sits there longer than four days. We churn Tuesday and Friday mornings and whatever is still standing on Sunday night goes home with the staff. If a flavour is on the list this week, it is because it is in the cold room right now.

42 Lower Main Road, Observatory The churn room, the counter and the cold room all in one long room behind the glass, so you can watch the batch freezer while you decide. Parking on Trill Road is easier than on Lower Main after six. Monday to Friday 10h00 to 20h00. Saturday and Sunday 10h00 to 22h00. Shop 3, Main Road, Kalk Bay A counter and a freezer, no churning. Everything comes down in the cooler boxes on Tuesday and Friday afternoons, which is why Friday evening is when that shelf is fullest and Monday is when it is thinnest. Tuesday to Sunday 11h00 to 21h00. Closed Monday. One number for both: 021 447 6612. It rings in Obs first.
