See the printsThe hides are pits dug into the bank of two pans on my father’s cattle farm outside Alma, roofed with thatch and reeds so the light comes in low and flat and nothing above ground line ever moves. Every photograph on this page was taken from inside one of them at eye level with the water, which is the only reason the animals stay long enough to be worth photographing.
