Sundowner

Sundowner

Bitters, syrups and the hardware to pour them. Made in Braamfontein, shipped countrywide.

A bar's worth of small bottles

Everything we make fits on one shelf above the sink. Six bottles, a jigger, a strainer and decent ice is the whole kit, and it will out-pour most restaurant bars in this city. We started making the bitters because nobody was importing anything worth the freight, and we kept going because the fynbos here is better than what was in the bottles anyway.

Made for a Tuesday, not a wedding

Nobody needs a trolley of liqueurs going sticky in the lounge. Most good drinks are three things and ice, and the only question is whether the three things were made properly. So we price them to be opened on a weeknight. A bottle of bitters lasts a year at two dashes a glass, which works out cheaper than the beer it replaces.
