Sixty-eight metres, one step
The platform is bolted into the gorge wall, about twenty minutes on foot from the base camp on the R321. You clip into two independent ropes, each one rated far past what any person weighs, and both of them are load-tested every morning before the first group walks in. Then you step off. Sixty-eight metres of free fall into the swing, a long arc out over the river, and a winch back up to the ledge. The walk home is on your own legs, up the same path you came in on. Most people stand at the edge for about four minutes. Nobody is rushed and nobody is pushed. Some people walk back down without jumping, and that is a normal morning here.
