It started with nine chairs
Loods began in 2019 as nine people in a room above a print shop on Albert Road in Woodstock. A furniture maker, two graphic designers, a ceramicist, and whoever else could get there by six on a Wednesday. We talked about pricing, about clients who go quiet, about which glue actually holds. By the third year the room had run out of chairs, so we moved across the road into an old paint warehouse and started charging enough to cover the coffee. It is the same conversation it always was. There are just two hundred and forty of us now, and somebody else does the dishes. the full programme is a short scroll from here.
