About the journal
Quire is put together by four people in Woodstock and printed in an edition of two thousand on uncoated stock. There is no advertising in it, which is why it costs what it costs.
We publish four times a year and we have never been on time.
The masthead
Ran a studio for nine years, then decided she would rather write about them.
Sets every page himself and will argue about leading for longer than you want.
Writes the invoice column and gets the numbers out of people who would rather not.
Shoots everything on film because the reproduction is better and he is stubborn.

When does the next one come out?
Late in the quarter, usually two or three weeks after we said it would.
Do you take pitches?
Yes, and we pay. Use the form below and tell us which department it belongs in.
Can I get the back issues?
Issues four onward. One to three are gone and we are not reprinting them.
Do you post outside South Africa?
We do, at cost. Write to us first so we can quote you properly.
