Six weeks
From the day the deposit clears to the day you get the key. We build one room at a time, so the date on the quote is the date.
It comes on a truck
Built flat in Kuils River, then craned over the wall or carried through a side passage as narrow as 900 mm. Two to five hours on site.
Wired and lined
Insulated walls, pine ceiling, vinyl floor, plugs, lights and a switch, all in before it leaves us. It plugs into the house DB board.
Ten years on the frame
Structure, cladding and roof are guaranteed for ten years. Glass and ironmongery carry their own manufacturer guarantee.
Made here
Every panel is cut in our shed on Bottelary Road. Nothing is imported, nothing is flat-pack, and no part of it is assembled on your grass.
One builder
Riaan builds every room with the same two people who have worked with him for nine years. You will not meet a project manager.
No contract
A one-page quote, 40 percent to start, the balance the day it lands. There is nothing to sign that needs a lawyer to read it first.
Sized on site
We measure the gate, the side passage and the fall of the ground before we quote. If it cannot get in, we tell you that on the day.
Owners
It went over the wall on a Tuesday morning and I was working in it by Wednesday. The neighbours thought it was a furniture delivery.
We asked three companies to quote. Riaan was the only one who climbed onto the garage roof to look at how the ground falls away first.
Two winters in and there is no damp, no draught and no creaking. The price on the quote is the price we paid, to the rand.
